Fangelturm

This defence construction, which is crowned with towers, was built during the

16th century. In the 19th century, the upper storey as well as a domed roof were added to it. In1928, it was completely restored. Its tower is 12 m in height and has a 7.70 m diameter. The thickness of the wall is quite remarkable at 1.90m


On the surface of the flat roof, there has been a training observatory since 1965.

Town rampart

The fortification rampart was planted with lime trees in 1786 and was redesigned as a promenade. Even today, the rampart invites you to go for a walk all around the historic old part of town.
